How much does it all cost?

Being responsible for a pet is far less expensive than many other things and we believe the benefits out weigh the financial burden on the family finances.  Although there is no 'NHS' to react when things go wrong, contrary to popular believe, your veterinary costs are only a small part of the annual cost of keeping a pet.   We aim to pick up problems before they develop and preventative health care can save a significant amount of time and stress, and money.  The annual health check is about more than just a vaccination!

Insurance is not compulsory but is certainly worth considering.  There are many different companies providing pet insurance and you have to be very careful reading the small print.  We are a Pet Plan approved practice and can discuss specifics of their policies but other companies only in a very general way.  We can claim from any company but will only make direct claims with Pet Plan.  Things to look for include amount of cover offered and whether it is for life or just twelve months.  You may also seek advice from an insurance broker.

We have gathered a few ideas if you are considering a pet.
