Pet Insurance is an extremely complex subject and we cannot possibly cover everything on our web site. ‘Beware the small print’ holds especially true with pet insurance and policies vary widely between companies. We are not insurance brokers and can only discuss the general merits of insurance with you.  We do have links to Petplan however and can liaise with them on your behalf and can sell their policies directly.  We can discuss the specifics of Petplan insurance, can give your pet instant cover and can help you to fill in the forms.

We can claim from all the insurance companies but Petplan is the only company we will do ‘direct claims’ with. A direct claim is where you pay the excess to us and then we claim everything over and above from the insurance company. All the other insurance companies you pay and then claim back from them. Most insurance companies will pay you ‘the policy holder’ very quickly.

We are not charging to complete forms and have no plans to at the moment.  We generally turn around all insurance forms within 7 days but please be patient as they can take a long time and sometimes we are waiting on final laboratory results before completing them. Insurance can cause a headache at times, can take a lot of time and effort, but this practice supports the principle of pet insurance.

Greensands Advantage Scheme

We are replacing the old ‘Practice Plan’, with our own Membership scheme which we believe to be more flexible. The aim of this scheme is to spread the cost of annual vaccinations and preventative treatment across the year and give our regular clients a 10% discount off their bills.  To join the scheme you will be required to set up a standing order for a monthly amount – the minimum required is set out below but you may wish to agree a higher monthly payment, as this amount will be credited to your account and can be spent as you see fit, (other terms and condition apply).
